Educating local 14- to 24-year-old youth is the aim of this project. The Umoja Centre in Arusha, Northern Tanzania, is run by staff and volunteers. For instance, they offer a free one-year in-house course through Project Education to support the local youth who live in extreme poverty and are unable to continue their studies — designed for those who are re-entering the mainstream school system. The Umoja Centre has trained 50 disadvantaged young adults equipping them with the skills and resources to complete their education. In addition, students have support, finances, and general health and welfare assistance. Above all, we ensure they can complete secondary school or vocational training. Therefore, your giving to Project Education continues to give local youths the opportunity they need for a sustainable future.
