You can help save little lives. Many Tanzanian hospitals have inadequate resources, staff and training to provide for maternity and postnatal care. Therefore, infants often die because they struggle to keep warm and don’t have the resilience to fight infection and thrive. For instance, Project Child Birth will train healthcare workers and new and expectant mothers in a working model of newborn baby care.
The World Health Organisation reported 303,000 maternal deaths in 2015. Skilled birth attendants in 2016 attended an estimated 78% of deliveries.
While, over the past three years, there are 1560 trained healthcare workers and approximately 54,000 babies received care, we need to do more.
Please continue to give your best gift. Thank you.
